Eternal Life

You are an eternal being, a soul simply clothed in a body. One experience we all will share is facing bodily death at some point in time (unless the Lord comes back before then – as my grandmother always said). When your time comes, do you know for certain where you will spend eternity? According to the Bible, man will either spend eternity living in the presence of God in a place called Heaven or always dying, tormented and eternally separated from the presence of God – sentenced to a place called Hell.
Eternity does not really have as much to do with time as much as it does with a Person… the Person of Christ Jesus. “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you” (John 17:3). Gaining entrance in to Heaven is definitely on a “Who you know” basis… you MUST know God the Father through Jesus, the Son of God… and He MUST know you. He went to great lengths by sacrificing the One He loves most just for us so that we may know Him - because He loves us… because He loves YOU. So, do you know where will you spend eternity?
